CV maker app · iPhone and Android

A CV for every advert, made on your phone.

Tell the app where you are applying and every CV it writes follows that country: called a CV, on A4, in British spelling. Copy an advert’s link and it offers to tailor your CV for it.

Free to start. No card. iPhone on iOS 16.4 or later, and Android. Or start in the browser.

01 — On your phone

What the app does for your search.

  1. 01

    Set once, right everywhere

At first run you choose where you are applying: the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the US. The word for the document, the paper size and the spelling follow from it, on every CV and cover letter. You can change it in settings.

  2. 02

    A version for each advert

Copy the link to an advert on LinkedIn, Indeed or an employer’s careers page, open the app, and it offers to tailor your CV to that role. The tailored CV is kept with the advert, so the original is never overwritten.

  3. 03

A cover letter for the same role

From any saved role, write a cover letter alongside the tailored CV. It is written from your CV and the advert, in the same spelling, on a matching template.

  4. 04

No photo, unless you add one

Employers in these countries do not expect a photo, and the app adds none of its own. If you add one to your profile, a switch in the design settings hides it again for any CV.

02 — Where you apply

Built first for applicants outside the US.

Most CV apps are US resume builders with the word changed. Resume Master was built first for the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

The UK and Ireland

Two pages is normal, A4, British spelling, no date of birth. See how a UK CV differs and the CV examples for your job title.

Australia and New Zealand

A4, British spelling, and longer CVs than the US: two or three pages is fine. More on the Australia and New Zealand pages.

Canada

Called a resume, on Letter paper, in Canadian spelling: the app switches all three when you pick Canada. See the Canada page.

03 — Price

Free to start, one price everywhere.

The app is free to download, with every template and PDF export. Premium, for tailoring to as many postings as your search needs and new matches every day, is $12.99 a month or $49.99 a year, the same on the web, iPhone and Android. There is no timed trial to remember to cancel. See pricing.

04 — Questions

About the CV maker app

Is there a free CV maker app?

Resume Master is free to download and to start: three CVs and three cover letters, every template, PDF export, and enough AI to improve your CV and tailor it to one advert. Premium removes the limit on tailoring.

Can I make a CV on my phone that I can send as a PDF?

Yes. Export a print-ready A4 PDF on any template and send it from the share sheet: Mail, Files, WhatsApp or the job site’s upload.

Does the app use British spelling?

Yes, when you are applying in the UK, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand. Canada gets Canadian spelling and the US American spelling. The choice is made once and applies to everything the app writes.

Can I import my existing CV into the app?

Yes. Upload it as a PDF of up to 10 MB and the app reads it into your profile, ready to tailor.

Is the price the same in pounds, euros or dollars?

Premium is set in US dollars, the same on the web, iPhone and Android. In the app the App Store or Google Play shows it in your currency, which can differ slightly with the store’s local price.

Take your search with you.

The next posting turns up when you are away from the laptop. Have the resume for it ready before you are back.
