Delete your Resume Master account

This page explains how to delete your Resume Master account (the Resume Master app on Google Play and the App Store, and resumemaster.net) and what happens to your data when you do.

Delete it in the app

  1. Open the Resume Master app and sign in.
  2. Go to the Profile tab.
  3. Tap the settings icon in the top-right corner.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  5. Confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.

Or ask us by email

If you no longer have the app, or cannot sign in, email support@resumemaster.net from the address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm by reply and delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently deletes:

  • your account: email address, name and profile photo
  • your profile and every resume and cover letter, including their versions
  • files you uploaded, such as an imported resume (removed from storage within 30 days)
  • saved job postings, applications, application statuses and interview practice sessions
  • your conversations with the assistant
  • connected email accounts and their tokens
  • your notification settings and push notification tokens

This cannot be undone.

What is kept

  • Payment records. Stripe, Google Play and Apple keep their record that a payment happened, and for how much, for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We never held your card number.
  • App store subscriptions. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought in the app. Cancel it in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions) or in your Apple ID settings, or it will keep renewing.
  • Product analytics. Usage events such as "resume tailored" stay in PostHog, our analytics provider. They hold no resume content. Email support@resumemaster.net and we will delete them too.

Delete some data without deleting your account

You can delete any single resume, cover letter, saved job or conversation in the app at any time, without deleting your account. To have something else removed, email support@resumemaster.net.
