Carpenter Resume Example

A carpenter resume gets a few seconds from a superintendent or a builder who needs someone on site Monday. They look for the kind of carpentry you do (framing, finish, cabinets, concrete forms), the tools you bring, whether you read plans and whether you can run a small crew.

The Sample resume below belongs to a journeyman carpenter with eight years in residential construction, split between a production homebuilder and a custom finish shop. The bullets use the details builders care about: house counts, trim packages installed, callbacks and punch lists, crew size and schedule. A finish carpenter who can say how many kitchens they installed with zero callbacks is telling a builder exactly what they want to know.

Keep it to one page, put your apprenticeship or journeyman status and safety cards near the top, and mention your own tools and transportation.
